I was so excited to hear that Bourjois had reformulated their number one selling foundation as it's always been a favourite of mine but there were a few things that definitely had room for improvement. I've had it for just over a month and it's already become my new go-to foundation. Yep, it's that good...
The foundation retails for £9.99 which I think is perfect for the quality and brand. I picked mine up in the shade 51 Light Vanilla which has always been around but for some reason (probably due to the new formula) now matches my skin tone perfectly. Before it would slightly oxidise and leave me with an orange tint but this is just right for those who are fair with yellow undertones. They've also added 3 new shades to the range which is fab.
The formula is still lightweight and easy to apply and like the original the finish is still super glowy without being greasy or shiny. This would be suitable for pretty much every one except those with very oily skin. The foundation contains Vitamins C, E and B5 to give the skin a well rested appearance. They claim the wear time is up to 16 hours but because of it's glowy finish I doubt it would last that long, even after setting it. It lasts a good 7/8 hours on my combination skin but I will get a bit shiny towards the end of the day.
My favourite way to apply the foundation is with an oval brush (I love the Primark one) as I find it gives the most flawless finish. If you want a lighter coverage I would use a damp sponge or buffing brush. The only con is that it can cling to peach fuzz or dry patches (which is a big pet peeve of mine) so I like to use a rich moisturiser before I apply the foundation.
There's not much else to say other than I'm super happy with the changes Bourjois have made and I highly recommend trying it out for yourself!
Thank you so much for reading!

I wonder if they have changed the ingredients as it previously contained something I was allergic to, I'd love to try it!

My guess is that they have changed it slightly although I'm not 100% sure. You definitely should! xx
